There is just no other way to word this. David was a nerd from day one. As a child in Lawrence, Kansas, he spent hours reading, creating devices with his Erector Set, dissecting every mechanical and electronic device in the house, usually shocking himself in process (he still does this).  All of his fathers tools developed strange (and unexplained until now) burn and melt marks from his exploration of AC electronics (sorry Dad).   He carried his little tube tester around checking and replacing the tubes in the neighbors televisions for a while and made UHF antennas for them when that particular form of broadcasting was new and hi-tech. (Imagine the worst late night cable television show you have ever seen...make the reception pretty bad...and voila...you have UHF).

David received his engineering degree and MBA at Kansas University. He then worked for a major oil company after college. The oil field is still buzzing about his first day at a drilling well...he showed up with a sport coat and tie (we told you...nerd). They gave him more and more really big and expensive tools to play with. Eventually though, he felt that there were more things he could do so he left the oil industry to start his own company...and here it is.

David is a pilot, an avid back country hiker, a mediocre skier, and mountain biker.
