Sensors can switch loads such as relays, PLC's, indicator lamps, and other devices rated at or below the power rating of the sensor.  The specifications for each part number designate the maximum continuous switching current and voltage for our sensors.  For loads exceeding the power supplied by a sensor, some intermediate device is required.
