I want to detect
liquid through a tank wall. |

If the liquid
is conductive and the tank wall is plastic, PVC, fiberglass, glass or
another non-conductive material use an unshielded sensor. This
will work with fairly thick tank walls. |

If the liquid
is non-conductive you may need to use a shielded sensor, however, they
are not able to detect through as thick a wall as above. |
|
|
In no case
can a capacitive sensor detect through a metal tank wall.
